What is Orofacial Pain?

Orofacial pain is one of 12 recognized dental specialities by the American Dental Association. The specialty of orofacial pain includes the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain and dysfunction from the neck up. Scope of care includes musculoskeletal, neuropathic, neurovascular, and sleep disorders.

Translation: Orofacial pain specialists treat joint pain, muscle pain, nerve pain, headaches, and obstructive sleep apnea.

How I can help

Through a comprehensive and tailored intake exam, we take a holistic multi-factorial approach to assessing and diagnosing your pain.

From there, we’ll create an individualized patient-centered treatment plan to help reduce your discomfort and achieve long-term holistic wellbeing.

    Dental Sleep Medicine

Sleep apnea affects 26% of adults ages 30–70, impacting everything from the quality of your rest to the way you function day-to-day. We work closely with sleep physicians to assess and provide a CPAP alternative, intra-oral sleep appliance, to those patients that are good candidates.
